Thermal laminating is the process of sealing an item, most often paper, between two sheets of laminating film. The laminating film is itself is constructed to two layers, a plastic or polyester layer for protection and an adhesive layer, for sealing. When heat and pressure are applied the adhesive melts to the laminated document and to itself to form a water resistant, tear proof laminated item. Lamination is great for id cards, licenses, membership cards, menus, maps, posters, signs, instructional aids and much more!
